I will say many people definitely look at the return on investment of bitcoin am that's why it is having such number of adopters or investors, but it's not the main purpose as there are others that have invested into bitcoin for the future just because they don't want to save in a currency that devalues later in future. This is the reason why many people have looked towards the bitcoin for retirement savings other than fiat which is considered less volatile.
